What to expect
Learning experiences to build conceptual understanding
Each session will begin with a mini-lesson on a key syllabus concept. I will model how to respond to the given learning activity and share an example of a written response. As a small group, we will discuss other ways to approach the task while discussing the texts students have studied. Students will then write their own response independently.
One-on-one teacher time
All students will receive personalised verbal feedback on their independently-written response. Students may continue working on school assessment tasks or complete one of the written tasks provided. Each student will have a one-on-one conference with Ms Rad, where they can ask questions, receive support and develop their initial ideas further, building subject confidence.
Productive working time and teacher feedback
All students will set a goal for the session and upload their work to OneNote to receive written feedback on what they produced in the 60 minutes
Private one-on-one online tutoring sessions with Ms Rad. One-hour time slots are available on Thursday afternoons. Weekly slots can be booked in advance or more sporadically at a student's point of need (e.g. assessment help).
